BUJINKAN BUDO TAIJUTSU

Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu / Ninjutsu, is a Japanese Combat Art based on nine traditional schools that have been passed down from generation to generation for over 1,000 years. At Shinobi Fitness our Bujinkan classes focus not only on defensive techniques, but also on fitness and exercises that were utilized by the Ninja.
Shidoshi (Instructor) Tim Minnick, is currently a 7th dan (7th degree black belt) in the Art of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu / Ninjutsu.

"Taijutsu, literally translated as, "skill with the body," forms the basis for all understanding in the fighting arts of Ninjutsu. By concentrating on developing natural responsive actions with the body during intitial ninja training, one can then use the physical lessons as models for psychological and tactical training in advanced studies. The ninja's taijutsu is made up of methods for striking and grappling in unarmed fighting, tumbling and breaking falls, leaping and climbing, conditioning the body and maintaining health, as well as special ways of walking and running." -Masaaki Hatsumi
The nine schools of the Bujinkan:
Togakure Ryu Ninjutsu, Gyokko Ryu Koshijutsu, Kukishin Ryu Happo Hikenjutsu, Shinden Fudo Ryu Dakentaijutsu, Gyokushin Ryu Ninjutsu, Koto Ryu Koppojutsu, Takagi Yoshin Ryu Jutaijutsu, Gikan Ryu Koppo Taijutsu, and Kumogakure Ryu Ninjutsu.
This is not a sport martial art (MMA). This is a combat art, designed for self defense and street survival.
Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi of Noda, Japan is the current Grandmaster (Soke) of all nine schools and the founder of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu / Ninjutsu.
"A sincere Martial Artist has to keep training, to be steadfast to changes that occur or the passage of time, and live with an eagerness for Budo as his base." -Masaaki Hatsumi
